Guardian is the new antitheft system for Symbian Series 60 devices.
Every time you switch on your mobile telephone, Guardian proceeds with authentication of the inserted sim card; if authentication fails, Guardian send a notification sms message to a previously set telephone number. In addition, the system features remote control functions, i.e. deleting your photographs/phone book/text messages/video/audio data in case of loss or theft of your mobile phone (see Plugins section).

A few months back I installed Guardian (perhaps v. 2.0) and it was a full version (not sure, though). Upon finishing the installation, I set up this app to use an X number to which it should send a private message everytime it identifies a different cell number after each restart. A couple of weeks ago I exchanged the phone in which Guardian resided. Alas, the SIM card previously used for this app was nowhere to be found. Simply put, now I need to uninstall this great yet "annoying" program cuz it's been costing me one sms charge whenever I switch the phone off and then switch it back on. How do I uninstall it??? It's totally invisible, even to FExplorer... :-(

Yes, this app works fine on Nokia 6600, my current phone, which previously belonged to my wife. She's now using 6300 which Guardian doesn't support.

After googling, I came across this link (http://gsmhosting.com/vbb/archive/index.php/t-358603.html) and immediately tried the trick given. Much to my disappointment, though, such a seemingly useful trick did not work for me. Once all the files inside "Guardian" folder were removed and the folder itself (C:\system\Apps\Guardian) was deleted, I turned off my cell phone and when it was restarted... all the files and the folder were still there...
